About the PACE® and PCCE™. The Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam® (PACE) is offered by NFPA® to test the competency of experienced and skilled paralegals. This exam is oneof-a-kind, in that it is the ONLY certification exam that requires at least two (2) years of substantive paralegal experience for applicants to qualify to sit for the exam. PACE® tests critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think “big picture” of experienced paralegals. Alternatively, the PCC™ Exam, also offered by NFPA®, tests the CORE knowledge, skills and ability of individuals who are working as paralegals or just entering the paralegal profession. For more information about either exam, visit www.paralegals.org or email OPA’s Certification Ambassador, Linda Odermott, RP®, OCP at dlsodermott@gmail.com.

NFPA awarded the PACE® Scholarship and PCCE™ Scholarship at the 2017 Convention in New Orleans. Sponsored by the Paralegal Education Group, these scholarships cover the costs of a review manual, a PEG online review course and the exam fee for either the Paralegal CORE Competency Exam™ (PCCE) or the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam® (PACE).

Jessica Kubiak of the Cleveland Association of Paralegals, Inc. was awarded the PACE® Scholarship, and

Unfortunately, NFPA did not receive any qualified applications for the PCCE™ Scholarship this year.

Congratulations to the PACE winner!
