Oh, Canada Due Diligence

Our Canadian neighbors are consistently the number one jurisdiction for due diligence filing and searching. With that in mind, having a basic understanding of the due diligence framework is important for US attorneys. This presentation gives an overview of the Canadian PPSA system. This discussion shows the background of this law, how it works, the differences between the provinces, and lastly how it compares to our UCC system in some key areas. Lastly, there is case law dialogue to assist in framing due diligence in Canada.
