Surviving Discovery in the Age of Social Media

Join Oregon Paralegal Association and Cicayda for a discussion of social media topics as related to various practices of law, including eDiscovery, IP, Court opinions, and ABA ethics opinions.

Speakers: Jeff Sharpe and Jeff Herron

Jeff Herron is a veteran of the Salt Lake City legal market where he has built litigation support expertise for over thirty years. Jeff began his career as a litigation paralegal for a Salt Lake City-based law firm, supporting large and complex litigation cases for eighteen years. He has spent the past fifteen years working for litigation support/eDiscovery vendors in various capacities, including sales, sales management, operations management, project management, and consulting. Since July 2013, he has been working remotely out of Salt Lake City as Senior Vice President Client Solutions for Cicayda, an eDiscovery services and software company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife (a paralegal with 25+ years’ experience), two sons - ages 23 and 16, and his painfully energetic Labrador, Teddy.

Jeff Sharpe is a native of Virginia and has resided in Roanoke for the past 13 years. He is new to the eDiscovery world where he has been employed byCicayda for the past year as a Business Development Manager. Recently he has taken over the Minnesota market for Cicayda working with litigation support clients in Minneapolis. Before Cicayda, Jeff had been in medical diagnostic sales for the previous 9 years. Jeff enjoys his family time outside of work with his wife Carolyn (elementary school librarian) and his two kids in college(when home), Andrew 20 and Ali 22.
